DON’T MISS A THING WITH DAB+
DAB+ is an upgraded version of DAB digital radio that gives you access to even more great stations. Depending on where you live in the UK, you could receive over 20 additional stations* with a DAB+ digital radio, with something for everyone – from jazz and dance music to news and talk radio, and even a station just for kids.
To receive DAB+ stations you must have a DAB+ enabled radio. If you recently bought a new DAB radio, then the chances are you already have DAB+. If your radio is a few years old, then you may be missing out.
Whilst many older DAB digital radios will only receive DAB stations, the majority of newer devices can receive DAB+ stations as well as DAB, and there are lots of DAB/DAB+ radios available which will give you access to DAB and DAB+ stations.
The simplest way to be sure, is to look for the Digital Radio Tick Mark on the radio or its packaging. All radios that bear that Tick Mark are able to receive FM, DAB and DAB+ stations.
If the product does not have the Tick Mark, then read the product description carefully and check that it specifies DAB+.
There are now over 180 stations broadcasting on DAB+ in the UK, including national stations, local commercial stations, and ultra-local community and commercial stations.
*For example, 60 additional stations in parts of London and up to 50 stations in parts of Manchester. Check your available stations using the ‘Available Stations’ button above.
