New speakers announced for Drive To Digital 2018

Digital Radio UK is delighted to announce new conference speakers for Drive to Digital 2018 – The Future of Radio sponsored by Arqiva, which takes place on 25 September at The British Museum Conference Centre.

At Drive to Digital delegates will hear from leading DCMS, broadcast and supply chain speakers on their views about the future of radio, the connected car, the new audio market, and podcasting. Confirmed new automotive speakers include: Andrew Till, VP Marketing & Technology at Harman Samsung Connected Services; and Joe D’Angelo, Senior VP Broadcast, DTS Connected Radio/Xperi.

Confirmed new audio market speakers include: Phil Moore, VP Northern & Southern EMEA, Deezer; and Simon Bryant, Director of Research at Futuresource Consulting.

We are also delighted to announce that Ruth Fitzsimons, SVP International Operations at AudioBoom, will take part in the panel discussion, The Podcast Revolution – what next?.

Ruth joins a stellar line up of Jason Phipps, Commissioning Editor for Podcasts, BBC; Sophie Herdman, UK Content Director at Acast; and Folder Media’s Matt Deegan, responsible for the Fun Kids podcast network and helping to deliver the British Podcast Awards and the Love Island podcast – The Morning After.

They join confirmed-speakers Bob Shennan, BBC Director of Radio & Music; Digital Minister of State Margot James MP (via video); Ian O’Neill OBE, Head of Radio at the DCMS; and Miranda Sawyer, Guardian and Observer Radio Critic who will be talking about the future of digital radio in the UK.

Gethin Jones, acclaimed broadcaster and co-presenter of the new Hits Radio Breakfast Show, will host the conference.
