Digital Radio UK is delighted to announce that Chris Chabot, Technical Evangelist at Amazon, and Paul Rodgers, Head of BBC 6 Music, have joined the line-up for the major free radio conference, Drive to Digital 2017, which takes place on Tuesday 26 September at the British Museum, London.
Amazon’s Chabot will talk about his role creating new and innovative experiences around voice for Alexa and BBC 6 Music’s Rodgers will share the story of the UK’s most popular digital-only station.
Also newly announced, delegates will hear from Matt Hancock, Minister of State for Digital, via video, with Mike Hawes, CEO, Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and Julian David, CEO, techUK, on the UK’s digital revolution; Katrina Mills, Audio and Connected Home Senior Buyer for John Lewis on the new audio market; Klaus Bischoff, Director of Design, Audi, Christian Winter, Radio Development Engineer Audi, and Michael Hill, MD, Radioplayer UK, will talk about radio in the connected car; Stefan Warhaftig, Commercial Director at Halfords Autocentres on the car specialists’ role in helping to convert the UK’s cars to digital radio; and Alan O’Rourke, Managing Director, Ruark Audio, will share his first-hand experience founding a cutting-edge digital radio company.
As previously announced, Drive to Digital will be chaired by award-winning presenter, Harriet Scott, fresh from the launch of her new Magic Breakfast Show with Ronan Keating, and features the legendary Tony Blackburn who will be celebrating 50 years of BBC Radio 1 and the upcoming launch of BBC Radio 1 Vintage pop-up alongside Ben Cooper, Controller of BBC Radio 1.
