How to Retune
To ensure you are receiving all your available stations, it’s a good idea to retune your digital radio from time to time. Retuning is as simple as the touch of a button and by retuning, you’ll discover any newly available stations in your area and keep your DAB digital radio’s station listing right up to date.
And don’t forget to check all the stations that are available at your postcode by using the station finder on the right hand corner.
For all DAB digital radios at home or in your car, refer to the instructions for your particular product on how you retune, delete old station labels/names and reset your presets.
When you retune your radio and new stations are found, the station counter on the right hand side of the display will increase and new stations will be added to the list. This should only take a couple of minutes and then you can simply scroll through the display to find the stations available to you.
Most digital radios can be re-tuned using the following simple instructions:
Press the Auto-Tune or Auto-Scan button on your digital radio.
Or
If there is no Auto-Tune or Auto-Scan button, press the Menu button and go through the options until you find Auto-Tune or Auto-Scan. Select this option.
Or
If these options do not work, or the new stations cannot be found, a further action known as a Full-Scan may be required. Either press and hold down the Auto-Tune or Auto-Scan button until a Full-Scan begins, or press the Menu button and go through the options until you find Full-Scan or similar. Select this option. If this does not work, move the radio to a different location in your home, extend the aerial fully and try again.
If this does not work, the next course of action is a System Reset or Factory Reset. See the drop box below for further details.
You may need to consult the radio instructions manual or contact the radio manufacturer directly.
Resetting Your Radio
A Reset option is usually provided to enable you to reset your digital radio. Performing a retune process as described above will usually solve most DAB tuning problems but you may need to use the Reset option if you move house or want to restore your radio’s default values from options you have changed.
Please note that resetting your digital radio removes all presets, stored stations and favourite station settings and resets all options to defaults. Some radios keep old or defunct station labels in the station list followed by a “?”, and a Reset will clear these from the station list. To perform a Reset please follow the instructions below:
Press and hold the Select or the Info button on your radio until the display shows System Reset or Factory Reset.
Or
Press and hold the Menu button for three seconds. Push the Tune button within 3 seconds to confirm the Reset.
